The Department of International Studies at Marymount Manhattan College 
invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track position in 
International Studies beginning in Fall 2011.

*Assistant Professor of International Studies - TenureTrack*

*Description:* Candidates should demonstrate substantive interests in 
one or more of the following areas: international political economy, 
cultural geography, economics of gender, international migration, human 
security, economic development, international humanitarian law and human 
rights. Area focus and field research experience in Africa is strongly 
preferred. The successful candidate will demonstrate continued scholarly 
activity, work closely with students, and participate in college-wide 
activities such as academic advisement and committee service.

*Requirements:* Interested candidates must have a Ph.D. in International 
Political Economy or a related field and college-level teaching 
experience. A commitment to an interdisciplinary approach is required.

are expected to participate in divisional and college meetings, advise 
students, engage in scholarly activities, and participate in outcome

along with other service to the college. MMC faculty must have a strong 
commitment to undergraduate teaching within a liberal arts environment.
