Please see the attached advert and JD for a position as chief economist 
with the New Economics Foundation. 
 
The New Economics Foundation is a London-based think-tank that 
specialises in applying economics (both orthodox and heterodox) to 
structural, environmental and social justice issues.
 
They say: "We have recently initiated a new programme of work on the 
macroeconomics of sustainability, and intend to begin detailed modelling 
work -- in collaboration with colleagues in academia and other 
institutions -- that builds upon existing practice, but is informed by 
work in related disciplines, and fully incorporates environmental and 
social considerations. This is obviously a highly ambitious and 
long-term project, but an essential one in our view.
 
"We are therefore looking for someone with strong quantitative skills 
and experience of modelling, but also the ability to apply these in 
innovative but rigorous ways and an openness to new thinking and new 
directions. The post-holder would not be restricted to modelling, 
however, but would oversee our economics work in a general sense, and 
contribute across all of our programme areas."
