Visiting Assistant Professor of Economics


Hampshire College, an independent, innovative liberal arts institution and
member of the Five College consortium, is accepting applications for 
a one year Visiting Assistant Professor of Economics position with 
the possibility of an additional year depending on future funding. 
The School of Social Science seeks a general economist with a strong 
commitment to teaching. Applicants with a focus on heterodox 
approaches to theory and practice, U.S. economics/financial markets, 
economic development, and feminist economics are particularly 
encouraged to apply.

Teaching load is two courses per semester and one course during 
January Term.  Interest in assisting students with their own 
independent research projects is expected. Interdisciplinary 
approaches encouraged. Ph.D. preferred.

Hampshire College is committed to building a culturally diverse

This position begins fall 2009, pending budgetary approval. We offer
