Dear Colleague
There are still places available at this workshop, devoted to the
presentation of cutting-edge research in institutional economics.
Note that the price for residential delegates (including those on a reduced
rate) now includes a guided tour of Hatfield House (a historically
significant Jacobean stately home). The revised workshop programme is shown
below.
Regrettably, however, no reduced rate places are still available. Several
reduced rate places have been made available and filled, thanks to a
generous grant from the Cambridge Political Economy Society Trust.
For bookings please contact: Valerie Norris, CRIE Workshop Administrator
<bsresearch at herts.ac.uk> , Room R312, University of Hertfordshire, De
Havilland Campus, Hatfield, Hertfordshire AL10 9AB, UK
I hope that you will be able to come to this important academic event.
Yours sincerely
Geoff Hodgson
Director of the Centre for Research in Institutional Economics

SEVENTH INTERNATIONAL WORKSHOP ON INSTITUTIONAL ECONOMICS
INSTITUTIONS AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT
Organised by the Centre for Research in Institutional Economics,
University of Hertfordshire, UK.
Organised with the kind financial help of the Cambridge Political Economy
Society Trust.
Speakers: Ha-Joon Chang (University of Cambridge), Barbara Harriss-White
(University of Oxford), Geoffrey Hodgson (University of Hertfordshire), Ugo

Technology), and Allan Schmid (Michigan State University.
22-24 June 2005
This residential workshop will be held in room N101 on the new De Havilland
campus of the University of Hertfordshire, in Hatfield, England.
This workshop is designed to provide in-depth discussion of cutting-edge
issues in institutional economics, in a forum that permits the attention to
detail and definition that is often lacking in larger, conference-style
events. The expected maximum number of participants is 50. Please book
early to avoid disappointment.
The De Havilland Campus of the University of Hertfordshire is about one
mile from Hatfield railway station. There are regular trains from Hatfield
to London Kings Cross, taking about 20 minutes. There is easy access to all
London airports.
