URPE members,
I expect most of you have noticed that Latin America has become a
strong center of resistance to neoliberalism (and even beyond that, a center
of discussion concerning socialism) over the last half decade or so.
On October 27 - 29 there will be gathering of people a lot like
URPE, the 5th Latin American Colloquium of Political Economists. (See the
URPE Web site www.urpe.org for more on it, including what they particularly
are looking for, though they are very open, under "Other Heterodox
Organizations. Conferences, Meetings and Rallies")
We would like to build an URPE panel at this conference. We have
One sure participant, one nearly sure participant, and one maybe participant.
Please e-mail me if you have even a "maybe interest" so I can see if we can
build a panel. Please do so in the next two weeks (or three if need be) if
possbile - the deadline for submitting a panel is a month from now).

Presentations can be in English (I am sure mine will be ...........).
Again, as motivation, these are very interesting people to meet, and the
discussion in Latin America about alternatives to neolibralism and
alternatives to capitalism is very rich today.
	Hasta la victoria siempre, Al
