Hardly so.  "Aristocracy" means "the rule of the best". In the 
Aristotelian tradition -which is the origin of the term as a 
political cathegory- the aristocrat put his (or, rarely since we are 
talking Ancient Greece, her) own life to the service of the 
community. As from what can be seen from afar, in USofA things happen 
quite differently.
