Colegio Palestino dividido al igual que los corazones
de sus alumnos

 Los alumnos palestinos del colegio en Anata, en los
alrededores de Jerusalem, capital de Palestina, vieron
que el patio de su escuela fue divido en dos parte por
el Muro de Apartheid israelí. 
La potencia ocupante aprovecho el feriado del fin de
semana y atravesó el patio del colegio con el muro de
casi 10 metros de alto, aislando de la escuela
palestina a la cancha de fútbol y de voleibol,
dejandole  a más de 800 alumnos un reducido espacio
para el recreo y sus actividades deportivas. 

 Según el director de la escuela de Anata, Yussef
Elayan, afirmó que los trabajos del Muro en el patio
comenzaron el jueves 29 de septiembre de 2005,  sin
advertencia previa y aprovechando el comienzo del
feriado semanal.
 “Fuimos sorprendidos el jueves en la tarde cuando
vimos al ejército israelí iniciar los trabajos en la
mitad de la escuela. Los trabajos siguieron en la
noche y durante el viernes", explicó Elayan,  y
agregó: muchos niños palestinos advirtieron la
prepotencia israelí y fueron a defender sus colegio y
su tierra enfrentándose con los soldados los que sin
piedad golpearon y a muchos de ellos los llevaron
secuestrados ilegalmente detenidos.

La parte de la escuela palestina que quedo del otro
lado, será anexada al asentamiento ilegal israelí de
Pisgat Zeev, como parte de la usurpación y
colonización israelí de Jerusalem. 

Los niños conmocionados 

El pequeño Yasser Salameh, de 11 años, afirmó que el
domingo: "Los soldados me sacaron a los golpes. Uno de
ellos me levantó me tiro al piso con todas sus
fuerzas, luego otro vino y me pateó. Me tuvieron
detenido en su jeep durante cinco horas", afirmó. 

"Nos sentimos como en prisión. Ni siquiera tenemos
ganas de sonreír o de hablar", comentó un alumno
Hicham Mahmud, de 15 años.  

Su amigo, Suleiman Karshan, denunció que los soldados
les lanzaron granadas lacrimógenas o ensordecedoras
para echarlos. "Además, los ruidos de las excavadoras
y de los martillos neumáticos nos impiden estudiar y
nuestros profesores deben gritar para que podamos
escucharlos", dijo Karshan.

Frente a toda esta barbarie; los crímenes diarios; los
asentamientos ilegales y el Muro de Apartheid que
construye la Potencia Ocupante israelí y que alcanzará
antes de fin de año a 720 kilómetros de longitud,
usurpando el 58% del territorio palestino de la Ribera
Occidental incluyendo su capital Jerusalem, el mundo
puede mantenerse en un demoledor silencio

Palestinian School is as divided as its students´
hearts
 
Palestinian students from a school in Anata, located
in the outskirts of the Palestine capital Jerusalem,
saw that the playground of their school was divided
into two parts by the Israeli Apartheid Wall. The
occupant power took advantage of the holiday that took
place during the weekend and it crossed the playground
of the school with the around 10-meter-high wall,
isolating the soccer pitch and the volleyball court
from the school. As a result of this action, over 800
students were left a small space for their sports
activities and breaks.

According to the school director in Anata, Yussef
Elayan, the work for the construction of the wall in
the playground begun on Thursday, September 20 of
2005, taking advantage of the beginning of the weekly
holiday and without a previous warning. “On Thursday
afternoon, we were surprised by the Israeli army when
they were starting the work in the middle of the
school. The work continued at night and on Friday”,
Elayan explained. And he added: “many Palestinian
children witnessed the Israeli arrogance and went to
defend their school and territory, arguing with
soldier who beat them without mercy. Many of the
children were illegally under arrest”. 

The part of the Palestinian school which remained on
the other side will be attached to the Israeli illegal
settlement Pisgat Zeev, as part of the Israeli
occupation and colonization of Jerusalem.

Children were shocked
 
The 11-year-old boy Yasser Salameh stated that on
Sunday: “ The soldiers took me out violently. One of
them picked me up and knocked me over the floor with
all his strength. Then another soldier came and kicked
me. I was under arrest in their jeep during five
hours”, he said.

“We feel like if we were in prison. We do not want to
laugh or talk”, expressed Hicham Mahmud – a 15-year
old student.

His friend, Suleiman Karshan, denounced that the
soldiers throw deafening and tear grenades to them.
“Besides the noises made by the excavator and the air
hammer do not allow us to study and teachers must
shout to us in order to get we hear them”, Karshan
said.

Before all this barbarity; the daily crimes; the
illegal settlements and the Apartheid wall which is
being constructing by the Occupant Power and which
will reach 720km in length before the end of year,
usurping 58% of the Palestinian territory in the West
Bank including its capital city Jerusalem, the world
remain firm in a demolishing silence.
