EL ALEGATO DE MILOSEVIC:
LA VERDAD Y LA LIBERTAD CONTRA LA MENTIRA Y LA ESCLAVITUD
Después de los procesos de Dimitrov y Mandela, que derrotaron al
poder judicial político nazi y sudafricano, respectivametne, el que
marcará la batalla contra la opresión internacional de nuestros días
es, ciertamente, el de Slobodan Milosevic.
El martes 31 de agosto de 2004, a las 9 de la mañana hora local de La
Haya, tendrá la oportunidad de emitir su discurso de apertura de
cuatro horas, iniciando así lo que se da en llamar su defensa, pero
que tanto él como todos los partidarios del progreso en Serbia
denominan la batalla por la verdad. Su discurso de apertura no se
verá seguido por la presentación de pruebas, como sería normal en las
cortes de justicia y cabría esperar. No; a continuación habrá un
debate sobre si corresponde o no corresponde imponerle un abogado, o
si los juicios, que en su momento se unificaron, tendrían que
dividirse en tres causas independientes, o sobre cuál podría ser otro
camino para silenciar a Slobodan Milosevic, o impedirle presentar
pruebas sobre quién destruyó a Yugoslavia y porqué, creó paraísos
terroristas en Croacia, Bosnia y Kosovo, persiguió al pueblo serbio y
bombardeó Serbia, quién y porqué ocupa buena parte de los Balcanes e
impone la miseria y un régimen colonial a sus naciones.
¡La mayor hipocresía es que la no-corte de La Haya intenta imponerle
un abogado a Milosevic alegando preocupación por su salud! Después
de haberla puesto en peligro cuando lo hizo secuestrar, cuando lo
mantuvo en prisión por más de tres años sin autorizar un tratamiento
adecuado para su enfermedad, cortándole los contactos con sus
familiares, y agotándolo con interminables series de falsos testigos
y millones de páginas de "revelaciones" irrelevantes!
El presidente Slobodan Milosevic lucha por el pueblo. Y lo apoyan los
serbios -y las personas progresistas de todo el mundo. Lucha contra
la injusticia y contra la agresión a su país.
La familia Frankestein (¿recuerdan sus nombres reales?: Madeline
Albright, David Scheffer, Michael Scharf) se encuentra ahora bastante
preocupada por la salud de su bebé monstruoso de La Haya: un hombre
grande y honesto acaba de partirle los dientes. Están tratando de
explicarle al público y a los jueces de la Haya que son los
Frankesteins los que hacen las leyes, y que la ley principal tiene
que ser que aquél a quien señalaron como criminal tiene que ser
castigado o eliminado, aún cuando no haya prueba alguna en su contra.
Esta campaña ultrajante y sin precedentes coincide con la campaña
igualmente ultrajante, igualmente sin precedentes, que llevan
adelante los lacayos de la OTAN en Belgrado, y que busca retirar la
acusación efectuada contra los países de la OTAN ante la Corte
Internacional de Justicia. Desde la fundación de ésta, la única
verdadera corte de las Naciones Unidas, no ha existido semejante
presión sobre la parte acusadora, como ha existido en el caso de
Yugoslavia contra la OTAN. Pese a la fuerza de la OTAN, la gran
mayoría del parlamento serbio se oponía al retiro de la causa.
¿Porqué son tan fuertes la campaña y las presiones? Porque los
verdaderos criminales tienen perfecta conciencia de sus crímenes!
El pueblo es el que detenta, en última instancia, todo poder. Y esto
incluye el poder judicial. Y el pueblo no permitirá que los
delincuentes triunfen. Ni los perdonará.
La Asociación Sloboda/Libertad de Belgrado, y el Comité Internacional
de Defensa de Slobodan Milosevic (CIDSM) desde sus sedes en Sofía,
Nueva York y Moscú, llaman a todas las personas honestas a actuar ya
para impedir que la delincuencia prevalezca en La Haya; invitan a
todos sus miembros y simpatizantes a seguir el "J'Accuse" de Slobodan
Milosevic el 31 de agosto, y a expesar su solidaridad acercándose a
La Haya o emitiendo declaraciones públicas en sus propios países.
Ya está asegurada la presencia de los siguientes representantes del
ICSDM (brindarán una conferencia de prensa en La Haya el miércoles 1
de setiembre de 2004, después de la terminación de las sesiones de
ese día en el Tribunal): Klaus Hartmann de Alemania, vicepresidente
del ICDSM y presidente de su Junta Directiva, y la vocera legal
Tiphaine Dickson de Quebec/Canada.
Ese año, la Duma rusa, el parlamento de Belarús y la Asamblea
Parlamentaria de la Unión ruso-bielorrusa emitieron notas por
separado a los parlamentos de los países de la Unión Europea y de la
OTAN, a las organizaciones internacionales y a los jueces del
tribunal de La Haya, exigiendo la liberación de Slobodan Milosevic.
Igual exigencia han efectuado el Concejo Mundial de la Paz, el Foro
Europeo por la Paz y muchas otras organizaciones y partidos políticos
progresistas.
El 28 de junio de 2004, día de San Vito y tercer aniversario del
secuestro del presidente Milosevic, una marcha de miles de personas
recorrió las calles de Belgrado con la misma exigencia. Cuarenta
prestigiosos artistas internacionales firmaron un petitorio y unieron
sus voces y esfuerzos a la lucha del ICDSM.
Más de noventa distinguidos abogados y profesores de derecho de
diecisiete países (la mayoría no integra el ICDSM, y algunos son
opositores políticos de Slobodan Milosevic) se dirigieron al Consejo
de Seguridad de las Naciones Unidas y otros órganos de la UN con un
petitorio, titulado "LA IMPOSICIÓN DE UN ABOGADO A SLOBODAN MILOSEVIC
AMENAZA EL FUTURO DE LA LEY INTERNACIONAL Y LA VIDA DEL ACUSADO",
expresando así la verdadera ética de su profesión, violada y
humillada en La Haya. En su nombre, el antiguo fiscal general de los
EE.UU. Ramsey Clark, y la penalista internacional Tiphaine Dickson,
autora del petitorio, se dirigieron a la prensa, la semana pasada, en
la sede de la ONU en Nueva York.
Slobodan Milosevic combate por todos nosotros. Apoyémoslo y
expresemos nuestra solidaridad y firmeza el 31 de agosto y el 1 de
