threat

"now more then ever the threat is real.Areyou ready to respond?Whenever you
needsupplemental or emergency workplace security, For everything from strike
security to executive protection to surveillance. Call in an expert team -
the resonse Team".

The above quote is a ad that was in the magazine, Canadian security, by the
private security/unionbusting company, Special response. Special response is
a company of former military and police personal who profits off the
straussian utopia created after 911. now you might be asking yourself what
Mr. Doncaster, a known anarchist, is doing reading "Canadian security"? Well
I am not thinking on joining the security industy, not only do I consider
them an enemy, I don't think I would pass the security checks to get the
job. Speaking of security checks, I had one done by the Fairmount company.
They found me to have a criminal record, which I had told them in advance and
as a result I am required to get a copy of my criminal record so that they
can see that my "crimes" are that of advocating for socia justice and not
for defrauding millions from companies like Fairmount. Now here is where the
story gets interesting.

The RCMP/state contracts out alot of their work that has to do with
background checks, pardons, fingerprints, ect, to a company called
commissionaires. Commissionaires, like special response, is a private
security company that is full of former military and police personal. One of
their manyy srevices includes enforcement and detention services for all
levels of government. So you can see this company is what the Government
contracts out to when it want to destroy good union wage public jobs.

So I had made an appointment and they said the money grab.......I mean cost
would be 76 dollars to which I said," I know your just a worker but if you
read the charter of rights, you cannot descriminate based on my lake of
income". I know for instance if you go to the courts to file for a judicial
review or an appeal, their is a process you can follow by which you can
havethe cost waived.

Secion 15 (1) of the charter, it says," Every individual is equal before and
under the law and has the right to the equal protection and equal benefit of
the law without discrimination and, in particular, without discrimination
based on race, national or ethnic origin, colour, religion, sex, age or
mental or physical disability". Secion 6(2) subsection b, says that every
Canadian citizen and every permenent resident of Canada has the right to "to
pursue the gaining of a livelihood in any province." If it weren't for this
wonderful charter of ours, I would find myself in a catch 22 situation,
Can't get a job because I don't have a copy of my criminal record and I
can't pay for a copy of my criminal record because I don't have a job to
make money and pay for the copy of my criminal record. Well, the
Commissionares believe the constitution does not apply to them, well to be
truthful, they believe I have a wrong interpetation of the constitution. I
guess we will see what the courts and human rights have to say about this.
Seeing that recently Canadian blood services where expempt from the
constitution in order to justify them denying gay men the right to give
blood and last year, women who challeged the I.O.C in court for
not allowing women ski jumpinig at the olympics were told that the I.O.C is
also exempt from the constitution, I suspect that if I take it to court, I
will be told that the commisionaires company is also exempt from the
constitution.

When the authoritarian head cheeze came in, he said, to paraphrase, we offer
services that cost money so you can either buy our service or leave. I then
told him that they cannot discriminate against me because I have no money
and then askes him where his humanity is to which his direct response was,
"We are not in the service of providing humanity". You see, as much as I
distain governments, the fact is civil servents provide services firts and
formost for need not profit, or atleast that is what they are suppose to
do.If Commissionares was owned by the govenment, not only would
their workers most likely be representd by the good folks at PSAC,(Public
service allience of Canada)thus having a decent wage to raise a family with,
they would also ,more then likely, not discriminate based on one economic
position.

Even though it feels as if, and I think this situation may be some proof,
that evey time I get arrested or charged, I loose a bit of my privilidge. The
fact is, I still have alot of privledge. I am white, maile bodied, and have
friends and family. I am curious to know how the non-white female bodied
individual with no friends or family and a criminal record, copes with the
opressiveness and discrimination they must go through when trying to get a
Job. I am also curious to know how long it will be before Canadians start to
wake up and realize that the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms is not
a document of inalianable rights, it is a charter of crown prerogative.

It would be so much eaiser to borrow the 76 dollars to get a copy of my
criminal record and forget about human rights and others who may be in a
similar situation as I but not have my privledge, but I cannot do that.I do
not live in a vaccum. I am a product of my surounding and I feel I have a
responsibility to my human Family. Ewth this being said, I would like the
Public Service Allience of Canada to demand that the rent-a-cop company of
Commissionares be nationalised and put under the control of civil servents
rather then former pigs.
