   Let's see, the Saudis invest in Ethiopia and have the food sent back to 
Saudi Arabia while Ethiopians go hungry.

   What is the difference between this and the Brits exporting potatoes from 
Ireland to Britain during the height of the 1800s Irish potato famine?

   This is not foreign "investment." Both sides do not benefit. It's just old 
fashioned exploitation and colonialism.
