US Interferes on Venezuela, says Eva Golinger

Caracas, Nov 24 (Prensa Latina) US still maintains an ongoing  
interference on Venezuela’s elections, financing opposition parties  
and also interfering in the internal affairs of popular communities  
and student groups, US investigator Eva Golinger denounced Monday.

In an article published by local media on foreign financing to  
opposition, Golinger says current US interference is also present at  
communities of the capital and in the neighboring state of Miranda, in  
which opposition achieved the highest number of votes during regional  
elections.

She assures US cover paramilitary activity in Zulia and Tachira,  
bordering territories with Colombia, important for the security of the  
Venezuelan State, which are also in the hands of opposition governors.

Golinger asserts 4.7 million dollars were invested only in 2008 by  
USAID (International Agency of Development of US) and the National  
Agency Endowment Democracy NED in the electoral campaign.

When referring to the triumph of opposition in the states of Carabobo,  
Miranda, Tachira, Zulia and Caracas, she alerts it is not only about  
financing parties but also about a network of organizations and  
agencies that aggressively interference the "chavism".

Golinger mentions, besides USAID and NED, Freedom House, National  
Democratic Institute, International Republican Institute, foundations  
Konrad Adenauer and Friedrich Ebert Stiftung (Germany), FAES (Spain)  
and FOCAL (Canada), among others.
