Dear President Obama:
A Great Act of Mercy by you can help heal the still raw wounds of Indian pe=
ople and their continuing confrontation with the 'Dominant Society' of the =
United States. I don=92t know if you know the Leonard Peltier case personal=
ly; nor will I argue it here.=A0 Please talk to Gov. Bill Richardson and Se=
n. Inouye about this great injustice now in its 33rd year; they both know i=
t well. Leonard was 31 when he was framed; he's now 64.=A0 A poll a couple =
of years ago asked thousands of people, "Who Is the Greatest American India=
n in History?"=A0 The winner, yes, was Leonard Peltier.=A0=20
Mr. President , I ask=A0 from my deepest heart that you grant a brief audie=
nce to me and Chief Arvol Looking Horse, 19th-Generation Keeper of the Sacr=
ed White Buffalo Pipe of the Great Lakota Nation, so that we may deliver a =
message to you on behalf of millions of good souls around the earth who ple=
ad for Leonard=92s freedom, who see Leonard=92s freedom as The Sign that De=
mocracy and Love and Prayer and Justice still have a meaning in America.=A0=

soul-transforming theatrical experience --a mesmerizing living expression
of his own words, his own pain, his own dreams--as well as the suffering
and dreams of his People.
As co-playwright with Leonard, I have given outright my entire
co-playwright's share, plus quite a few personal thousands, to In Peace

Leonard's play.
