 Radical / Anti-Olympics band needs your help. If you have web design,
My Space experience, graphics skills, photography, spray paint, video,
live sound, distribution, 'zine creation, postering / promo skills, if
you book gigs, work at college / community stations, need music for
demos, if you have friends that love excellent, radical sing-a-long
with your fist in the air music, LEGALLY BLIND needs you. We want to
help get the message out there.

 This fledgling project is being built with a DIY activist ethic,
rather than via corporate commodification. No rock stars but activists
with instruments! We want to get out a message and need your passion,
creativity and ideas.

 This is no gimic. LEGALLY BLIND members have been active
revolutionaries for years.

 Formed in 2007, LEGALLY BLIND is Agit-Pop, political, satirical,
punk- influenced (NOT death angry white boy crust - more melodic, yet
neither is it Avril Levigne) It's also a little something else too.

 Garth Mullins – vocals / lyrics / rhythm guitar, three chord
propagandist with activist and musical experience including LUMPIN
PROLETARIAT, WORK TO RULE and HOGTIED. As been an annoying activist
around Vancouver since there were things called So-Creds. Huh?

 Kai – bass (formerly of HOGTIED with political, creative and
publishing experience

 Charlie – guitar, bk vox (formerly of literate Jazz stuff that I
cannot remember - he's a classically trained MOOsisian)

 Mike – punk drummer that floors us all - formerly of CIVIC PRIDE,
INSANE PARTY and others local acts.

 Our 4 song EP has just been recorded and is now available. It is
entirely about the political situation in Vancouver. We would like to
help raise the profile of related struggles at our gigs. This means
tabling, leafleting, pamphleting, announcements from the mic, speakers
between bands, study groups back stage, etc. etc.

 1."2010 Bread and Circuses" has that sing along chorus "No Olympics
on Stolen Land" and explains the various problems with the Games.2.

 2 "Political Anthem" is a satirical look at the idea of writing three
chord manifestos, such as I ahve done for so very long

 3 "Notice of Eviction" is about gentrification, the squeezing of the
DTES in a developer's vice and the housing crisis

 4."Vancouver Uber Alles" is adapted from the Dead Kennedy's classic
"California Uber Alles" which was itself satirically adapted from the
anthem of the Third Reich

 This band is a collective, oriented from below, with an activist
approach, not a corporate profit maximization scheme. Our rehearsal
space and studio recordings are organized the same way, with a
consensus driven, anarcho-communist ethos.
