[R-G] Cacophony on the Left

Perhaps I am using an insufficient or non-indicative sample, but I
would say, based on my experiences of the 'Left' in the US on the www
(you know, reads Naomi Klein and Michael Parenti, doesn't care that
the Nation was a better mag when it had half its current circulation,
etc.), its MAJORITY seems:

1. Ambivalent but 'negatively critical' about Islamism.

2. Ambivalent but 'naively uncritical' about Zionism.

This tells you more about their sense of intellectual and moral
haplessness than , for example, the issues that stem from US-Iran
relations or peace in the Middle East.

Perhaps this all comes from being born into a culture that really does
see itself as the center of the Christian capitalist universe or it
alternative somewhat secular liberal capitalist alternative.

Therefore not so much a cacophony but an ineffective symphony of
centrists denied access to the left exit door of mainstream politics.
Should they or should they not walk out on the Democratic Party? Can
they or can they not find common ground with right wing libertarians
and nationalist conservative elements (like P. Buchanan)?
