Suspicions confirmed
"CIA jet" cloaked in silence
By JEAN-GUY ALLARD
The silence surrounding the CIA-linked Grumman Golf Stream II that
crashed near Cancún Monday September 24 while carrying a cargo of
several tons of cocaine and heroin confirms the worst suspicions. The
total suppression of the U.S. press regarding the case beyond the
initial report of the incident also emphasizes the similarity between
this case and that of Ilopango, El Salvador, which featured the
Reagan regime.
Weeks have passed since the incident and still the military
intelligence in charge of the investigation has abstained from making
the slightest comment as if they know nothing of interest about the
supposed pilot of the aircraft. They shrug off the dumb luck of the
owner of this private jet and close the eyes to who are the real
owners of this luxurious private jet. They pretend to know even less
about the previous owners.
Neither have they revealed information regarding the exact
circumstances of the mysterious "accident" that occurred in the
forested hills of Rancho San Francisco, in the municipality of
Tixkobob, Yucatán.
Official sources have only remarked that the supposed consignee of
the operation was Sinaloa cartel leader Joaquin Guzmán Loera, aka. El
Chapo, and that the pilot, Edic Muñoz Sánchez along with two of his
accomplices, Dante Pat Caamal and Leonel Ayala López are in custody.
Nevertheless, it has been reported that numerous "observers" from
various U.S. intelligence agencies appeared in Tixkobob.
The powerful aircraft took off from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, just
a few hours before the crash. It had spent five days in the local
Airport before leaving Sunday September 23 heading to Rio Negro,
Colombia, a narco- hotspot.
Hours later it headed back toward Cancun with a new crew.
Theoretically, the aircraft that carried out illegal CIA flights
for many years, in particular to and from the interrogation camp in
Guantanamo, belongs to Donna Blue Aircraft Inc of Florida, which all
evidence indicates is a phantom company.
Before that, the two million dollar Grumman Golf Stream II belonged
to S/A Holdings. LLC of Garden City, New York, which leased it to Air
Rutter International with offices in Long Beach, California and
Farmingdale, New York.
However, this aircraft with U.S. registration N987SA appeared on
the European Union commission's lists of secret CIA flights that
occurred between 2003 and 2005.
This harkens back to May 8, 1985, when George Bush Sr, then vice
president, was alerted by Cuban American CIA agent Félix Rodríguez
that a C-123 plane had been brought down by the armed forces of
Nicaragua. Hours later, the pilot Eugene Hassenfus confess to working
for the CIA under the orders of Luis Posada Carriles, aka. Ramón Medina.
Many years passed before U.S. reporter Gary Webb was able to
confirm that Rodriguez and Posada directed arms for cocaine
trafficking operations to support that Nicaragua Contras from the El
Salvador airbase.
These operations have been described in detail by former DEA agent
Celerino Castillo in his book Powderburns, which documents the CIA's
involvement in narcotics trafficking.
The accident of the Grumman and the recent wave of violence that
has swept the most famous Mexican beach resort have created tension
among hotel owners who have requested that authorities take new
security measures to protect the reputation of Cancun and their
investments.
