Salah al-Din, Aug 11, (VOI) - Eight electricity workers were killed and two
others wounded when a U.S. aircraft fired at their vehicle in southern
Samarra's neighborhood of al-Jalisiya, a local police source said on
Saturday.
The workers were installing electricity wires and cables in al- Jalisiya
power station when a U.S. aircraft fired a rocket at their vehicle, the
source told the independent news agency Voices of Iraq (VOI). No comment was
made by the U.S. side on the incident.
Samarra, Salah al-Din province, is located 100 km north of Baghdad.
