Fallujah, about 60km west of Baghdad arrested four individuals on
Sunday afternoon who were going around to city mosques and schools
and posting false leaflets supposedly issued by the Command The Good
and Forbid the Reprehensible organization, a well-known Resistance
group operating in al-Fallujah.

The al-Fallujah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a
source in the Iraqi Resistance as saying that the four individuals
were recruited by the US occupation forces to print up false
leaflets in the name of the Resistance fighters that contained
threats against the local population.

The source said that the communiqués threated to kill young people
who shaved their beards off or sell ice to local people claiming
that such things are forbidden by Islam. The fake "Resistance
statements" also threatened with death all those young men who
failed to go to the mosque for the five daily prayers and threatened
to kill women who go out to the market.

The Resistance source said that the four individuals admitted that
the Americans paid them money to post the false leaflets, the aim of
which was to create problems and arouse popular hostility towards
the Resistance.

Intelligence agents of the Iraqi Resistance arrested the four after
keeping a number of local mosques under surveillance for a long

Members of a delegation of local people who met with US commanders
in the area told Quds Press that the Americans "surprised" them by
demanding that the local people provide security for the American
troops in return for the US forces ending their blockade of the city.

The representatives of ad-Dulu`iyah told the Americans that what
they are doing to the people of the city amounts to "collective
punishment" and that the blockade had resulted in the death of a
number of sick and elderly people who were unable to get out of the
city for hospital treatment.

The ad-Dulu`iyah representatives said that the local people had
nothing to do with an attack on US and Iraqi puppet forces a week
ago and said that therefore it was "unfair" to impose a harsh
blockade on the whole city. They added that they "could not provide
security for the Americans if their massive army was unable to
