Dear All,

All, Afternoon.  Thanx for posting!  I hope you and yours are well and will
be!  Well stated with excellent p[erpsectives and insights, thanx!  Here's a sample Letter To Editor: Systemic war crimes on Iraqi detainees.  
The latest is that it's only the tip of the iceberg.  There
are video tapes, many more pictures, murder and more egregious crimes are
part of this.  They've indicated that these war crimes at Abu Ghraib prison,
in Falluja, Iraq, Quantonamo Bay, Cuba, and other prisons across the world,
include rape, sodomy, torture, abuse, deprivations, etc., in other prisons
and detainee camps too.  It's said that there are 18,000 court martials
filed so far; which is 1 out of ten soldiers.  About apology, this is an
insult, empty apologies offered, when you and the people you're apologizing
to don't know what's happened, are a further mockery of humanity and an
insult to everyone.  Rumy says he takes full responsibility, then he should
bear the burden of the judgments against those officers, execution in front
of a firing squad; as per his request.
 
Those are not just words, if you're responsible, then the punishment should
also be yours.  There should be an independent investigation by a
combination of FBI, UN and Iraqi investigators; for, these are war crimes.
The lesser of the worse of the officers ordering those crimes to take place
should be handed over to a UN Nuremberg trial; not receiving the benefit of
a US trial.  I think several of the worst should be court martialed and
executed by US first, since the UN won't execute them.  Those elements of
the military involved should be deconstructed and reconstituted to weed out
the gestapo's influences totally, then, and only then, should they be
allowed to serve again.  This is not from a personal perspective, this is
the law of this land and the world.  The "compensation" they say they will
hand out, they shouldn't be allowed to, for, they'll use it as hush money.
Those compensations should be given after all coalition troops involved have
been prosecuted.  Those witnesses still alive should be brought to the US
and aided in acclamation to health, in a comfortable lifestyle, with the
needed security, so, they will not fear telling the truth about the gestapo
personnel involved.  These are minimums.
 
Rumy's resignation should have already been tendered, the emperor's articles
of impeachment should have already been drawn up!  "We", the people can stop our country, similar to 1930's Germany, from slipping all the way into
nazism, only if we act now!  We are responsible for those war crimes, for we
allowed our country to devolve into a military dictatorship.  Do what you
can, just keep conversing, calling into talk shows, writing letters to
editors and politicians, signing petitions, marching, et al, about it!
Dylan Thomas wrote, "Death shall have no dominion...", a military coup is
possible, as is the extinction of humanity from this situation; "...do not
go gentle into that good night, rage, rage against the dying of the light"!

All, what do you think?  Lest "we" forget, if you don't exercise
responsibility, its Siamese sister, freedom, will wither, as well. Sadly,
