Dear All,

Had a discussion with some army personnel . They were of the opinion
that what happened in Abu Ghareb is routine dealing of 'terrorists'.
It has become an issue because of the failure of Bush's Iraq policy

1. price of petroleum has shot up from $28 per barrel to $42 per
barrel , when the war was meant to bring to prices of petrol in USA.
2. Political defeat of Bush due to stiff internal resistance and lack
of support from the Shias and the Kurds as well.
3. Elections politics of his opponents.

Noble Laureate Joseph Stiglitz has also felt ompelled to talk outside
his professional area out of his concern as an American Citizen. See
