For too long the issue of haiti has been hiden from the Canadian
mainstream. It is clear that mousalini,I mean martin is lying when he
insinuates that the Canadain state is some kind of peace keeping state with
morale values. From our involvment in Haiti, it is clear that the Canadian
state is imperalistic and neo-colonial in nature. We must pressure the
leaders of the political parties in Canada and we must aslo make this an
issue on the streets and in our union halls. I fear that not only did Canada
conspire with the U.S to have Haitis presedent ousted, but they also
conspired to use haiti as a geostrategic foothold in the carribian in order
to be netter situated to deal wit so-called "rogue" states like Cuba and
venezuala. A month or so ago there was talk about Canada "obtaining" the
Terks and kaykos(spelling?) Ilands. This is probably part of that plan. The
martinites want us to foget their neo-liberal agenda over the passed 10 years
and believe them when they tell us they have "changed". Is haiti what they
consider change? Don't let the martinits get off the hook on this one. lets
pressure layton to use the remainder of his campaign to bring this issue to
Canadians attention. THe chances of him doing so are slim, but chances are
better he will bring this up rather than martin/mousalini or haper/hitler.
