>Are you deliberately trying to miss my point? TODAY is when Kerry wants to
>be president, and TODAY is when he speaks of how much he supports killing
>Iraqis and Bush's tax cuts. When Nixon was President was when what he
>thought mattered, and TODAY is what matters for Kerry. When Dubya was a
>child, I'm certain he had misgivings about war, too. So what?
>He is no liberal, he is the SA to Bush's SS. You need to get in the
>streets and do whatever you can to increase the number of people who say
>they have had it with the two-party dictatorship-- there will always,
>every sinlge election, be minor, itty bitty differences between the two
>candidates. Going with Kerry or whichever less-far-right candidate
>reinforces your own powerlessness. With Diebold, it now also makes you
>merely an extra in a very bad play. Tragi-comedy, no doubt.
>Do these voting machines not really matter?
No, next year is when Kerry wants to be president and next year is what
matters. By that time today will be a year from in the past.
Abstaining from voting somehow increases your power? Does the vote really
not matter? Will Diebold cast every single vote? If that's the case,
Diebold could elect a write-in in November. We shall see.
I demur on your commandment to "get in the streets" which only increases
traffic jams. What I need and what america needs is a serious Left.
