Hi Jay, I love Fisk too, as an aspiring writer...
I also have noticed the hypocrisy of course, I think we are all pointing that
out.
But Fisk has a couple of annoying habits from time to time, and I was wondering
if there were any comments on it. For one, he has decided to take the "bad
things" done by the "evil people" and iommediately looks for duplicity in
response and simply accepts the script he is handed.
The North doesn't have nukes. The North is not building nukes. The North never
admitted to having a single nuke. Further, and I realise that he is making a
more general point (he's a columnist, so this is hardly "sinful"), but it is
quite dangerous for "us" on the radical side to be espousing that Bushie "should
really be going after North Korea".
In a sentence, I find that when I dig a little at many of the things going on
today, they arte bigger lies than ever before-- and yet we often seem to take
the lie (WMD) and spin in to the left (stopping this would hurt kids, we should
spend money on hospital beds, etc).
This is not Fisk's fault, indeed I read everything he puts out voraciously...
but this general trend is extremely frustrating.
