Hi Shifra Lawner,

I am working on the problem with the "unintelligible"
messages. They are transfer-encoded in base64. This
encoding protects the contents of the message from
corruption while the email is en route. Such messages
should be de-coded automatically by your mail reader.
But since they come as part of a digest message,
the headers which instruct your mail reader about
this encoding are missing.

I am working on this problem. There are other ways to
encode the messages which still leave the messages legible
even if they are encoded; base64 has the disadvantage that
in its encoded state the message is completely illegible. I
am working on installing a mail filter on our side here
which converts the base64 encoding into another kind of
encoding.

This will still take a few days because I am just learning
about this stuff, and I have a very busy schedule otherwise
too. In the meanwhile I recommend that you set your
subscription in such a way that you receive the individual
mailings instead of the digest. The individual mailings
have the headers instructing your mail reader about the
encoding; perhaps your mail reader is intelligent enough to
do the decoding automatically. If not, you may want to
change your mail reader.
