>From COSATU:
> COSATU condemns attacks against Afghanistan by the US and its allies on the
> 07 September 2001. While the attacks may appear justifiable and logical, in
> COSATU's view they add to a vicious cycle of violence. It is worrying that
> the US has hastened to attack Afghanistan without convincing the world
> beyond doubt about the culpability of Osama bin Laden and his crew in the
> deplorable attacks on the US on the 11 September.
(Snip)
>From John Sweeney/AFL-CIO:
>The president of the AFL-CIO today praised President George W. Bush for
>taking "aggressive, considered action" against terrorist Osama bin Laden and
>the Taliban, and implored Congress not to forget working families" as it
>takes up relief measures aimed at laid-off aviation workers.

...and then after all this, there are still people who get angry when I blame
the North American left for such outbursts as Osama bin Laden, and think the
obviously shouldn't be stated plain as day. Could it get any simpler?
