False, completely false analogy.

Obama represents, advocates, supports, nothing other than maintaining 
capitalism.

Gay people wanting to marry represent nothing other than gay people 
struggling for equality.

Is marriage an archaic, oppressive institution?  Certainly-- so is religion. 
So what?

Here's the analogy you should consider:  Should Moslems be denied the 
ability to practice their religion in the US because religion is archaic and 
oppressive?   You want to make that argument?  All you are doing  since 
there is no discrimination against the practice of Christianity, since 
anti-Moslem sentiment is the stock and trade of reaction, is supporting that 
reaction.

This is all about equality.
