There you have it. Being called an "asshole" -- or a "prick" --
is offensive, in just the same way as being called a "cunt" is.
If you call me a "prick" you don't invoke or buy into some
apparatus of gender differentiation or subjugation. You just
associate me with a body part that we still conceal in public,
no matter how enlightened we are. Why is it different for "cunt"?
Nobody wants to be called a "prick" or a "cunt", but I've known
guys who referred to their pricks by that name, and girls who
referred to their cunts as such, without any apparent complication
of feeling.
How about "tits"? How bad is that?
You're confusing propriety with politics, I think.
