No, I didn't scoff at Cod.  I said that his scoffing obscured what the 
Chinese revolution had achieved and what it had not.

And I tried to point out that the matter is somewhat more complicated than 
the "historically progressive" restrictions you substitute for substantive 
analysis.

You brought up the either/or category of "progressive"  after I pointed out 
that the "historical tasks of a national [bourgeois, democratic, etc. etc.] 
revolution were most certainly not fulfilled.

So I have no problem answering what I think is "progressive" about the 
Chinese revolution... as soon as you answer what tasks of a national 
bourgeois revolution have actually been fulfilled by the CCP in the 
1949-1983 period.
