Regarding PDVSA, today's Financial Times reports that PDVSA, with govt. 
backing, has seized the assets of 60 oil service companiesfollowing approval 
of a law last week authorizing such seizures.

Expropriated in this round were a dozen rigs, 30 oil terminals, and 300 
boats.

According to the article, PDVSA made the move after the service companies 
threatened to suspend operations until paid outstanding invoices.

Beats the hell out of playing currency spreads, IMO, but I don't expect the 
bourgeoisie to just concede their property without preparing for the big 
fight down the road.
