I have just been reading his biography of the left-wing independent, then 
Labour, sometime communist
and full-time omosexual - MP first for Malden and then for Barking, oth in 
Essex - the latter now in Greater London.  It seems to me he is a very 
through biography who really tries to get to the bottom of things - and 
knows how to interest the reader !!  I will look out for more of his.
