[Marxism] A promising interview with El Sal. pres-elect Funes

Fred, did you titled this "promising"? I can't figure out what is 
"promising" about the content of the interview, other than the guy is 
not a fascist. he seems like a real, honest liberal (I mean that without 
judgment). He notes correctly, succinctly, that immigration is 
fundamentally the result of the "institutional abandonment" of the 
people...and then goes to say he wants to continue CAFTA. I don't get it.

What I see is that nothing in his program, in this interview, will 
address the material needs of the people who put him into office. The 
only promising thing is his clear commitment to democracy and raising 
the profile of the masses of people vs that of the ARENA style of 
Bush-type "business is everything" approach.
