[Marxism] 2 views on the Iran election

Going back to this post, what some aren't realizing is that the West and the
"moderates" are reacting to the protest movement, not engineering it.  It's
something that they might not be able to contain at all.  When I say the
likely result if the regime falls (which I want to happen of course) is a
liberal democratic "regional power" fully integrated in the capitalist
sphere, I'm not relishing the prospect, just acknowledging it.  There is no
other camp for the Iranians to go into.  I'll hope for more progressive,
anti-imperialist change along with the political liberalization, but I just
don't see it happening.
