Because riots, protests, and a mass movement in an authoritarian, right-wing
*capitalist* nation are regarded as mere demonstrations of imperialist
manipulation in your mind instead of the accumulation of decades of
bitterness and repression?

The "moderate" reformers have no control and cannot contain the mass
movement. The chants on the streets of Tehran were "Give us our votes
back". How do you expect change to begin in Iran? Or are you against
struggle without the right "program", because of your angst against the
ideological composition of those involved. Are those oppressed in the
periphery suppose to be complacent instead of risking serving the interests
of imperialism by advocating for democratic rights?
