Basically Bhaskar's pov on this dovetails neatly with the US SWP's view 
of the overthrow of the Baath regime in Iraq: Imperialism has allowed a 
'civil space' to open and 'revolutionaries' can take advantage of this. 
This is a left cover for Imperialism if there ever was one. Arguing that 
Iran coming into the 'West's' camp is no less caving into Imperialism.

What's clear is that is simply a waste of time trying to predict the 
course of events in Iran. And, what would be the point? If there ever 
was a people that will ignore any advice from Western intellectual 
thought, it's Iran. They will determine the whole course of their 
political evolution...or revolution...and Imperialism, the Zionists, no 
one will have too much to say about it.
