[Marxism] 2 views on the Iran election

I mean let's be honest here. The Islamic Republic is GOING to fall sooner
rather than later.
With the current state of the left in Iran and in the world. It's natural
that any revolution is going to be liberal democratic in character and that
the nation will be incorporated into the world market and probably have
friendlier relations with the west, eventually the latter ceding the status
of "regional power" to Iran.
I find that "counterrevolution" preferable to the current state of things
and I daresay even progressive.
With liberal democratic norms it would be at least possible for the
working-class to organize and for left parties to regain some sort of
support in the country.
Iran isn't Cuba. And regardless of whether Ahemdinejad won or not the whole
election was a charade to begin with and I hope no one wavers for a second
in their support for the right of the youth of Iran to protest, violently,
against the current regime.
