[Marxism] MEND Geurillas in Nigeria's Niger Delta say kidnapped Briton supports cause

The Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta (MEND) issued a press
statement on June 1, that a Briton, Mathew Maguire (kidnapped in September
with 27 other foreign hostages), turned down a birthday present of
'freedom'. Maguire according to the Niger Delta militants has tied his
breathing of the air of 'liberty' to the release of Henry Okah, MEND's
leader earlier arrested in Angola, while negotiating the purchase of arms
and a ship, and currently being secretly tried in the country's North
Cebtral city of Jos..
