Nope, never supported Obama, even critically.  Not in this world, but maybe
in the other world you are referring to.
 But we don't have any vehicles of independent class action in the United
States electorally.  The task right now is to build in civil society,
eventually (if successful) those organizations will spawn a workers party of
opposition.

And if you want to get theoretical I can see how an opposition movement can
represent itself is the legislative, but once a social movement party takes
electoral control without an immediate transformative agenda (parliamentary
and extraparlimentary) you get Lula and the PT in Brazil.
