[Marxism] A Retort on the Left and Elections

milongonsinga--apparently an electric mouthpiece for one "Nelson
H."--drops a post consisting of three things:
1) a complaint about sectarianism and dogmatism that avoids questions
2) a list of utterly unoriginal questions directly answered
repeatedly, honestly, and non-dogmatically; and,
3) an implicit set of answers--not directly stated owing to a lack of
political and moral courage--disparaging the independent left in the
interests of the Democratic Party.
One could respect this sort of thing if it were done in a fashion that
allowed serious political discussion. We had a serious discussion of
this during the election and it was respectfully done, generally.
There was probably more heat generated between the supporters of Nader
and McKinney and what's-his-name running on the platform that nothing
could be supportable without the magic word "socialist" in it.
This requires putting forward a position with real arguments rooted in
reality instead of simply and gratuitously launching preemptive
attacks on other radicals, using entirely different standards when
talking about electoral options....
