Well, I don't think the damage that will be done is damage to theory.  The 
damage will be done to the urban, migrant, and rural workers in China and 
elsewhere.

By analogy I guess we could say that when China supported Savimbi and UNITA 
in Angola, it wasn't a setback to Marx's analysis of capital, but it 
certainly took its toll on the prospects for emancipation in Angola... and 
elsewhere.
