I received a very nice inquiry from an Australian chap about my statement that at the request of Allende, Fidel gave a speech to the high officers of the Chilean military in which he tried to convince them that socialism wasn't their enemy.

After searching my notes on Chile, I cannot find the reference for that statement, and so I withdraw it with apologies to the list.

Of course, I'll let you know if I do find the reference.
