But I asked a question that you have not answered-- and I asked it because
the US in the run up to WW2 and after exerted considerable imperialist
pressure on Brazil and Bolivia to ally with the Allies and break economic
relations with Germany.

This issue is not quite so simple as "this guy Hitler running around shoving
people into ovens," given the deep connections between the Allies and the
Axis prior to the outbreak of hostilities, and moreover, the fact that..
left in the hands of the US, UK, the Kuomingtang, and the Soviet Union, the
toll taken would be taken on the workers, on the prospects for revolution--
bleeding them and it dry, a fact that was played out in the considerable
delay of the "Allies" to open the western front in Europe-- hoping against
hope that Stalin would bleed out while engaging most of Germany's
military.

This is a difficult question. I was never satisfied, completely, with
Trotsky's formulations, and I think we might be able to shed some light on
the issues if we look at what Marxists in the colonies experienced-- would
love to hear from the comrades in India on this issue.
