And was it ever cold.  The manifestation had a very big impact on the city 
as a whole, as bus routes were terminated, altered due to the line of march, 
and it may have cut in to the usual store traffic at this the annual -50%! 
solde time of year, the marais being not only the historical Jewish 
quarters,  but also the area for both discount men and women's clothing, and 
high end boutiques--  kind of like Orchard St. meets Madison Avenue.
