Yes, it is true, and the Israeli military spokespeople cite this as a particular
sign of their humanity and effort to avoid civilian casualties.

I even heard someone from Gaza mentioning that they or a neighbour got a
phone call from the Israeli military that they should better leave their house
since this house or the one standing next to it would be bombed because
some Hamas leader or activist would live there.

This does certainly not apply to all destructions the Israeli military does
cause.

This also highlights that the telephone network in the Gaza strip is still part
of the Israeli telephone network.

Today, large parts of this communication network in the Gaza strip do not
work anymore, and whoever needs electrical power for a telephone would not
be able to use it anyway. Most people in Gaza are without electricity now.

This is especially hard for hospitals who need electrical power for many
uses. The Shifa hospital, the largest one in the Gaza strip, is cut of from
power and continues to operate with the emergency generators which are
meant to only bridge short interruptions of electrical power supply from the
network, but not continuous running for now more than 48 hours. They also
need diesel to function, and that is more and more scarce, too. The israeli
military has destroyed a large, if not _the_ largest storage facility for diesel
and other fuels .
