There is, for all concerned with the real world, a fundamental distinction 
between oppressed and oppressor-- that is different from the "beggaring thy 
neighbor in extremis" practiced by France, the UK, etc. upon Germany after 
WW 1; from the carving up of a competitor in the capitalist dining room.

There's nothing wrong with being "uneasy" about defending a Vargas, or a 
Saddam Hussein, or a Noriega,  from imperialism, but there's nothing right 
in not recognizing the need to engage in that defense, and utilizing that 
opportunity to advance a program for revolutionary class-based defense.
