As I recall from a class I took in accounting a few years ago, there are
certain SEC statements companies are required to file that are available on
line. I forget the name/number of them right now. It would seem that
foreign assets if part of a company's "balance sheet" or other financial
statements, would be required to be disclosed as material facts
pertinent to the government and potential investors. Of course
they could try and claim that these are different paper entities the
way Enron did etc. Try the SEC website.
