I never thought you did agree with it,  but in your eagerness to link 
science to the specific prediction of a specific event, rather than an 
overall trend, you reproduced an ideology that masquerades as science, which 
is exactly what I think is going on in the first article you introduced from 
the Sydney Morning Herald.  So where's the science?

What I question is not the science of climate change-- but that these 
specific fires are the proof of that science.

You have provided nothing of the scientific investigations, but simply an 
article in the very corporate media you claim is so unreliable.  And then 
you add the crapola article that strives for that unified force theory of 
disaster, linking terrorism, Islam, climate change...

We need to exhibit a bit more rigor in these matters.  Are the papers from 
the scientists who supposedly predicted these events available?  Are those 
scientists saying these events are confirmation of their analyses?

Science is science.  It needs to be kept free of ideology, even ones we 
might agree with.

Some of us might be able to remember the tough hurricane season in the US 
and Caribbean in 2005.  Those evens were attributed to climate change and we 
were told scientists predicted that subsequent seasons would see more and 
more powerful storms.  The next two years, if I recall correctly, were 
relatively benign.

My experience is that scientists themselves are reluctant to claim an event, 
or series of events confined in brief time period, as proof of their 
historical analyses and probable projections.

In answer to your question re the claims of the author of the article 
comparing these fires to 9/11 and climate change with "Islamic terrorism" 
is that I accept nothing he says as worthwhile.  You want to cite the work 
of a goon... go right ahead.  But you should look back a little into the 
history of such "scientists," and such science, that seeks to link itself up 
to apocolyptic visions.
