Sorry, not sorry, 1% mortality rate simply for entering a hospital is not 
"pretty good."  It's damn near criminal.

No, the problem is not in the conduct of "scientific medicine," but the fact 
of the matter is that under capitalism, scientific medicine is not 
practiced.  Commercial medicine is practiced, and its connection with 
science is sold by some, and paid for by many others.
