Like Fred, I don't know the situation in Eritrea. What I do know is that 
when the Ethiopian army invaded Somalia last year at the behest of the 
U.S., Eritrea opposed it, in part, because they see this as 
strengthening Ethiopian army and allowing it to flex its muscles. This 
is something the Eritreans, who have never accepted their defeat about 
10 years ago with Ethiopia over their common border. Eritreans, in turn, 
have been accused of aiding the Moslem forces there.
