"Reductions in defense spending" ???

1) We should not repeat the ruling-class lie that spending for war is "defense spending", unless we make the meaning clear by calling it "spending for defense of Empire"?

2) Wasn't the old socialist slogan something like "Not a penny, not a man, for imperialist war!"? The call for "reduction" of imperialist military spending -- unless it's a 100% reduction -- legitimizes the imperialist war machine.
