The problem for anti-capitalist revolutionaries is that too many people on the left also promulgate the ruling-class mantra that economic growth is, even in the overdeveloped capitalist countries, a good and even necessary thing, rather than the world-destroying cancer it is.
Quantitatively, there is more than enough production in the world to provide a materially decent life for everybody. The problems are qualitative: what is produced, how it is produced, and how it is allocated.
