In 1960 C. Wright Mills wrote "Listen Yankee" as a primer on the Cuban  
Revolution and its antecedents, exploring the relations of US Imperialism and  Cuba 
back to the beginning of the century. That the book was a best seller is  
less important than the role it played in educating Americans about their own  
history, the nature of American Imperialism in Latin America and the legitimacy  
of the Cuban Revolution.
 
What we need now is something similar on Bolivia. Reading Marxmail often  
requires knowledge or esoteric or little known events, groups and  relationships 
in Bolivia. We could use something for popular consumption  that is as basic 
and pugilistic as was "Listen Yankee."
